Python workers now poll only task families with registered handlers.

  • Activity-only workers no longer issue workflow or query polls.
  • Workflow-only workers no longer issue activity polls.
  • Mixed workers keep both task families. Registration, heartbeats, query/update handling and shutdown retain their existing behavior.
  • The correction also applies to run_until, including replay after an activity completes on another worker.

The current stable authoring contract and worker protocol 1.19 are preserved. The separate 2.6 Nexus authoring work continues on main.

Source qualification, documentation and protected PyPI publication pass. Six real HTTP cases pass from the actual PyPI wheel against immutable published Server 2.6.0, covering both worker entry points, split and mixed workers, workflow-only timers and cloned query clients. The wheel SHA256 is 8bfa26ac97840bd1d93eb6dbed872281e1ee28ad50f4d285a2cbaaca37502496.

Two intermittent first-task startup stalls observed during installed-package checks remain under investigation in #123.
