Workflow 2.5.26
SQLite queue acknowledgments
Retry a proven rolled-back SQLite acknowledgment delete within the existing bounded retry cutoff, using capped cooperative backoff. The delete remains fenced to the original job, queue, reservation timestamp and attempt count. A newer reservation survives, and the handler is not rerun to acknowledge a delivery.
Uncertain commits, failed rollback acknowledgments, changed connections, constraint errors and exhausted retry budgets still propagate their original failures. Workflow policies, logical attempts and deadlines are unchanged. Restart long-running workers after upgrading.
This compatible patch starts from published 2.5.25 and includes only the acknowledgment correction from #814, its focused controls and release metadata. Exact source and compatible full CI, database shards, supported source upgrades, corpus, quality and coverage pass. The source Sonar gate passes with zero unresolved PR findings.
Published-package verification and all 16 supported Laravel/PHP upgrade profiles pass in 38907488268. A normal Composer installation on Laravel 13.37 passes 44 acknowledgment and embedded execution controls / 718 assertions. Sample's separately pinned image update is tracked in durable-workflow/sample-app#231.
Issue #809 remains open for the separately reproduced claim/outcome pressure. This release does not promise contention-free SQLite operation; the unpublished outcome-admission correction in #816 is separate.
