v1.0.0-beta1 - External API Package and Live Delivery ETA (Beta)

The first beta on the road to 1.0 🎉 The integration now runs on a standalone, separately maintained API package, requires a modern Home Assistant, and adds a lightweight action for tracking a shifting delivery ETA.

Warning

This is a pre-release. It is feature-complete for 1.0 but needs real-world testing before the stable release. Expect the occasional rough edge, and please report anything you run into — bug reports from this beta are what make 1.0.0 solid.

Important

Home Assistant 2025.2.0 or newer is now required (the rohlik-api package needs Python 3.13). If you are on an older Home Assistant, update it before installing this release.

📥 Installing the beta

HACS hides pre-releases by default. To get this build: open the integration in HACS → ⋮ → Redownload → enable Show beta versions → pick v1.0.0-beta1. Restart Home Assistant afterwards.

✨ New features

• Minute-by-minute delivery ETA — new rohlikcz.update_delivery_times action refreshes only the delivery-time announcement with a single request, cheap enough to poll every minute. Ships with an example automation (automations/update_delivery_times.yaml) that keeps the Delivery Time sensor accurate during the last 30 minutes before the courier arrives. (#77, #78)
• Better error reporting during setup — connection problems with Rohlík.cz are now reported as "cannot connect" in the config and reauth flow instead of a generic unknown error.

🏗️ Under the hood

• API client moved to the rohlik-api package — the ~700-line in-repo client is gone; the integration now depends on rohlik-api==0.2.0, installed automatically by Home Assistant. The client is typed, returns model objects instead of raw dicts, and is maintained (and testable) independently of the integration. (#76)
• Each account gets its own Home Assistant–managed aiohttp session with an isolated cookie jar, so two Rohlík accounts no longer share auth state; login happens lazily and re-authenticates transparently on a 401.
• Cart entities (cart price sensor, shopping-list to-do) now read typed model attributes instead of dict lookups.
• Minimum Home Assistant version raised to 2025.2.0 in hacs.json and the README.

🐛 Fixes

• Fixed delivery slots failing for accounts without a saved delivery address (rohlik-api 0.2.0).
• Fixed the Home Assistant version badge in the README, which advertised an older minimum than the integration actually required.
• Bumped actions/checkout to v4 in the hassfest workflow.
