I am going through the syntax, and created the following wiki page:

(starts here)
The following references
[(a>This is a note.)]
[(b>Another note.)]
will be rendered.

~~REFNOTES /2~~
~~REFNOTES~~ 
(ends here)

It gives the following error: (subj).

Forgot to tell: I thought it might be because the syntax looks for the name first,
and tried

~~REFNOTES : /2~~
