Fixes

  • Tablet-mode stuck after lock — pnputil /remove-device stops auto-rotation but doesn't update the chassis-state registry value, which freezes at whatever the sensor last reported. If that reading was tablet/slate, Win11 stayed in tablet layout (collapsed taskbar, touch keyboard behavior) even though the app was locked. Now writes ConvertibleSlateMode = 1 and broadcasts WM_SETTINGCHANGE so the shell updates without a reboot.
  • Help → About did nothing. Now reliably opens.
  • About modal close now fades out symmetrically with the fade-in instead of snapping away.

UI cleanup

  • Menu bar trimmed to File + Help (Edit submenu removed — no editable surfaces in the app).

Download & install

  1. Download Rotation Lock.exe below.
  2. Drop it anywhere and double-click. UAC will prompt.
  3. (First-run only) Windows SmartScreen may warn — More info -> Run anyway.

Single self-contained .exe, no installer. Requires Windows 10/11 with WebView2 (preinstalled).
