What's Changed

New Features

  • ZCode global subagents are now generated and imported alongside the project-scoped ones, and a subagent's maxTurns is constrained to a positive integer (#2834, closes #2819).

Bug Fixes

  • Warnings are no longer swallowed by a suppressed logger. Diagnostics raised while logging is suppressed are carried to the caller that can act on them, including the --json result document, where they are bounded, sanitized, and truncated by code point (#2832, closes #2823).
  • fetch handles skill names that a terminal renders unfaithfully. Emoji keycap sequences are accepted, whitespace whose extent a row hides is marked, labels are budgeted against the width of the terminal they are drawn in, and remote and prune names are quoted wherever they are logged (#2837, #2841, #2843, closes #2815, #2814, #2813).
  • fetch asks the filesystem which local skill an entry refreshes, so a name that a case-folding or normalizing filesystem maps onto an existing skill is recognized as that skill rather than treated as a new one (#2846, closes #2812).
  • Skill paths are judged after they are resolved. A scanned path whose own segments were rewritten by a glob is refused, a nested skills root outside the project is rejected, a backslash in a name stays out of a file's identity, and the tree is walked breadth-first so aliasing links cannot multiply it (#2849, closes #2804).
  • Permissions validation covers every source. Blank category keys are refused and dropped keys are reported for every source, roo and zoocode blocks are validated, and untrusted key names are quoted in the messages that name them (#2853, closes #2799).

Other Changes

  • The aggregated checks adapters share a base class, which also hands the tool's name to a skip warning (#2833, closes #2821).
  • The fetch prune mocks and duplicated helpers are folded together, and the non-errno codes that its walk rethrows are documented (#2835, closes #2816).
  • The Homebrew formula was updated to v16.18.0 (#2827).
