This release has been driven by the issues with Bluetooth modules and the V2.0 kits, and is required for the V2.1 kits sold by Greenpower.

If you have any issues with Bluetooth, or configuring the Bluetooth module, please update to this firmware.

Changes

  • The firmware version of the Bluetooth Module is checked before configuration. If it identifies as a BLE device with firmware version hc05V2.3_le, setup halts, a warning message is sent over USB serial. The Arduino LED is set to ON indefinitely, indicating an error.
  • Quotation mark (") delimiters added to configuration strings sent over UART during the HC-05 configuration, satisfying requirements for HC-05 modules running Firmware V3.0, as supplied with Greenpowers eChook Nano V2.1 kits, and replacement modules for incorrectly supplied modules with the V2.0 kits.
