AirOpsEnv v0.4.1: inside the terminal, three desks in the room, passengers on the map
v0.4.1 shows AirOpsEnv v3's passengers and its customer desk in the replays. The env airops-occ3, the pack b6-v3, the grading, the board, the recorded runs and the dataset's tables are v0.4.0's, unchanged.
- Inside the terminal. A new Terminal view (key 9) stands in JetBlue's gate hall, at Terminal 5 at Kennedy and Terminal C at Logan: the crowd at the glass, the aircraft at the jet bridge, and over each podium the gate's screen with its flight on time, delayed, boarding, held for its connecting passengers, cancelled or departed. It opens on the busiest gate and moves on when a gate empties; ‹ › (or , and .) steps from gate to gate and to the line at the service counter. A v3 run now opens in it, and Start here opens the featured run at a gate held for its connecting passengers, with a link to its control center.
- The room holds all three desks. On a three-desk day the camera frames the customer desk, ops and crew together. The customer desk's requests pile at the desk they wait on until the answer comes back, the customer desk has its own screens (the connections at risk, the passengers rebooked and waiting to fly, those stranded overnight by airport), and the video wall adds a PASSENGERS panel.
- The passengers' flows on the map. The US map draws where the passengers off a cancelled flight or a missed connection are rebooked to, wider for more of them, and how many are stranded overnight at each airport; the corner map draws them in miniature.
- The hotel shuttle. Passengers stranded overnight line up beside the shuttle at the curb and board it by its door, each group in its own place, so a caption's count is on screen; at Logan the shuttle is filmed from a place clear of Terminal C, which hid it before.
- Films and stills. The director films the passengers' moments inside the terminal: the line at the service counter after a cancellation, a held flight's connecting passengers reaching its gate, a missed connection, or else a gate full of its departure's passengers. The list's v3 cards show the terminal or the three-desk room. The README's banner is the hall at gate 2 at Kennedy; the poster is the room with the customer desk's holds on their way to ops.
Films (attached, re-cut with the new views, 1080p, 70 s each; each ends on the day's score beside the board's means):
airops-occ3-hero-jfk-20250708.mp4: three Sol desks through the storm of 8 July 2025 at Kennedy, reward 0.795. The room with its three desks; the FAA's ground stop; 17 passengers stranded overnight at the hotel shuttle; inside Terminal 5, the line at the service counter after B6 675 to Hartford is cancelled; ops declining the customer desk's request not to cancel it; 17 connecting passengers reaching the gate of B6 308 to Portland, held until 23:45 for them; and 3 passengers who missed B6 539 reaching the counter.airops-occ3-bos-20231210.mp4: three Sol desks through the storm of 10 December 2023 at Logan, reward 0.825. Inside Terminal C, 167 passengers waiting at gate C28 for B6 2051 to Orlando, delayed; the hotel shuttle; the FAA's ground delay program; the customer desk's HOLD of B6 333 to San Francisco for a connecting passenger, and B6 333 pushing back held; and after midnight its request not to cancel B6 1990, 131 passengers booked.airops-occ3-one-bos-20231210.mp4: the same day with one Sol agent at all three desks, reward 0.663, no customer channel: the same morning crowd at C28, the shuttle, the ground delay program, a crew leaving for the hotel, the network map, and B6 1940 landing and B6 265 pushing back about three hours late.
airops-occ3-poster.jpg (attached): the control-center room at 19:27 on 8 July 2025, the three desks under the video wall with its PASSENGERS panel, and the customer desk's holds on their way to ops.
The gate halls, the lounges, the counter, the passengers' walks and the shuttle are inferred, for display only: the gate area is a generic one, not JetBlue's real Terminal 5 or Terminal C. v2's and v1's replays are unchanged.
