Cannot paste images into Pi.

What happened?

Claude Code supports Ctrl+V image paste from clipboard in Warp Terminal, but Pi does not.
Pi should handle clipboard image paste the same way.

Note this is with today's latest update installed.

Steps to reproduce

1. Copy an image (from the web, using a screenshot without a file, etc.)
2. Open claude in a Warp terminal window.
3. Paste the image. Works fine.
4. Open pi in a Warp terminal window.
5. Paste the image.
6. Note that the image never is transferred to the pi UI and cannot be read or used by pi.

Just tried to paste an image in visual code terminal and windows stand alone power shell. Couldn't get it to work, maybe it is an OS shell issue?

I cannot page images either .. v0.69.0 running on Windows 11 with npm. Brand new to this product - so i might be doing something wrong.

Not sure why, but on Windows its apparently ALT+V .. and that will put in a nasty looking filepath .. for same experience as with other harness', use this little package: https://www.npmjs.com/package/pi-image-tools

Is it possible that you're not able to reproduce this issue because you have custom instructions somewhere to the effect of "whenever you see a pi-clipboard-*.png path, use the read tool to view the image"?

I'm new to Pi and I'm accustomed from Claude Code that pasting images "just works". The Pi docs explicitly mention Ctrl+V for pasting images, suggesting that this should "just work" here as well.

This feature was not working for me (paths were getting pasted and ignored by the model (grok 4.3), even though my prompts were explicitly referring to "see screenshot") and I was trying to diagnose it by talking to the model (with the docs and pi-mono repo in hand) and the model was trying to gaslight me about why it wasn't working. Finally I came across this thread and realized from your screenshot that the image was getting picked up via a read tool call. I went back and gave the model explicit instructions to do a read whenever seeing pi-clipboard paths, and that resolved the issue for me. But it was a very frustrating road to get there.

The ctrl+v was a big unlock for me! Is there any change of having cmd+v implemented as well? v is so close to c on the keyboard and as a mac user, I've already accidentally exited multiple pi sessions by accident when trying to paste an image.
