First release of InterProScan 6.

✨ Highlights

  • New supported output format: JSON Lines
  • New supported application: TMbed (https://doi.org/10.1186/s12859-022-04873-x)
  • Add support for bare metal runtime (but we encourage you to always use the docker, singularity, or apptainer profiles)
  • Add the --cpus N parameter to run applications that support multithreading with N CPU threads
  • Disable deep learning applications (TMbed, SignalP, DeepTMHMM) by default. They can be enabled either by using the --applications <LIST> parameter, or with --run-ml.
  • Add the --use-gpu parameter to enable GPU acceleration for deep learning applications
  • Detect applications not yet available in the Matches API and execute them locally
