StarDrip 1.0.0 — Initial Release
Build the fit before you fly.
StarDrip is a free, open-source Windows loadout planner for Star Citizen. Browse armor and clothing from your own game installation, compare loadout stats, preview the complete look in 3D, and save or share your builds—all without an account or inventory upload.
Highlights
- Build complete FPS loadouts across 13 armor and clothing slots, with support for male and female character models.
- See the whole fit in 3D with orbit controls and materials, wear, decals, and emissive lights extracted from the game files where available.
- Compare live stats including mass, damage resistance, temperature protection, oxygen, signatures, radiation protection, and more.
- Find gear quickly with search and filters for slot, manufacturer, type, rarity, and availability.
- Save and manage named loadouts locally, then return to them whenever you want.
- Randomize your drip one slot at a time or shuffle all armor, all clothing, or both. An undo action makes experimentation painless.
- Share builds with your crew using compact share codes or exported loadout files. Imports warn you when a loadout comes from a different game version or contains unavailable items.
Local by Design
StarDrip builds its item catalog and 3D assets directly from the Data.p4k in your local Star Citizen installation. Your loadouts remain on your PC, and the app does not require an account.
Optional Star Citizen Wiki integration enriches items with descriptions, rarity, ports, blueprints, prices, and other details. This data is cached locally, and StarDrip remains usable offline with P4K-only data when the wiki is unavailable or the integration is disabled.
Getting Started
- Download the installer or portable build from the assets attached to this release.
- Launch StarDrip and let it auto-detect your Star Citizen installation, or select the installation folder manually.
- Extract the item catalog when prompted. Initial extraction may take a little time depending on your system and game files.
- Create a loadout and start building.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 with WebView2
- A local Star Citizen installation
Good to Know
- StarDrip currently focuses on FPS armor and clothing. Weapons and utility items are not yet supported in loadouts or the 3D viewer.
- 3D assets are extracted on demand and cached locally, so the first preview of an item may take longer to load.
- Some models, materials, decals, or clothing combinations may not render perfectly because Star Citizen's source assets and attachment data vary between items.
- Game updates can change or remove items. Refresh the extracted catalog after updating Star Citizen; imported loadouts may show warnings when their source game version differs from yours.
