First public MIT source release of Edilec's offline documentation-link checker. It resolves Markdown and HTML links, local file targets and anchors inside a bounded documentation root. External URLs are never fetched: they are reported as verified only when covered by a supplied status document, and otherwise make the result incomplete rather than passing silently. Reports distinguish pass, fail and incomplete evidence.

The repository includes runnable clean and deliberately broken synthetic documentation sets. Run them with Node.js 22 or newer as described in the README, or see the Edilec worked example. The release does not crawl a live website or establish that an external link is currently reachable. This is a GitHub source release; the package has not been published to npm.
