Web Performance Budget Gate v1.0.0

Web Performance Budget Gate v1.0.0 is a dependency-free Node.js 22+ CLI for checking captured Lighthouse JSON against declared route-level budgets.

• Compares repeated captured runs using a declared median, mean or maximum, including an absolute ceiling and optional baseline tolerance.
• Emits a deterministic JSON report. Exit 0 means a complete pass, 1 a completed budget failure, and 2 incomplete or invalid evidence.
• Includes public synthetic passing and failing fixtures so the result can be reproduced locally.

The tool does not run Lighthouse, fetch a website, measure real-user performance or establish search ranking. The captured reports and budget are supplied by the user. This release contains source code; no npm registry package or prebuilt binary is claimed.

Run npm run check in the repository to validate the source. The release candidate passed its syntax checks and all 19 tests. For the commands and fixture walkthrough, see the Edilec worked example.
