favirecon v1.1.0 馃コ

Use favicons to improve your target recon phase. Quickly detect technologies, WAF, exposed panels, known services.

馃帀 New Features

  • Expanded the fingerprint database by 381 entries (~349 new products).
  • Favicon detection via <link> tags works better. The HTML fallback is reached in many more cases and resolves icons correctly.

馃悶 Bug Fixes

  • A 200 response at /favicon.ico is no longer blindly treated as the icon.
  • Fixed a data race in output writing.
  • The rate limit (-rl) now applies to every request.
  • Reduced resource usage: all workers share one HTTP client / connection pool instead of one per worker.
  • Input read from stdin no longer truncates silently on a read error (e.g. an over-long line).

馃敤 Maintenance

  • CI now builds and tests on Go 1.26.0 (matching go.mod), runs tests with -race.
  • scripts/check-dups.sh rewritten with jq to detect true duplicate hash keys (same hash with different names, trailing-line duplicates) and reject invalid JSON.
  • Dependencies updated.
