PDFjet v9.0.9, in all four ports: Java, C#, Go and Swift, kept behaviorally identical. A small release on top of 9.0.7: 3 additions, 2 changes and 2 fixes, listed in CHANGELOG.md under v9.0.9.
Highlights
- Markdown reads more of GitHub's Markdown. Task lists,
- [ ]and- [x], are drawn with a box, gray when open and filled with a check mark when done, and read by a screen reader as ☐ and ☑;_italic_and__bold__, which leavesnake_casealone;~~strikethrough~~; and addresses written out,https://pdfjet.com, as links.Markupreads them too. - Colors for Markdown:
setHeadingColor, setLinkColorandsetCheckColor. The underline of a link is in the color of the link. - Faster text. Each font keeps the glyph and the width of the ASCII characters it has: a 2,546-page table is 21% faster in Go and 11% in C#, with the same PDF.
- Go 1.26 or later, not 1.27; CI tests both.
Fixed
- A link, or underlined or struck-through text, that ended a paragraph had its line drawn one space past its last word.
Upgrading
- No changes to the API besides the additions.
- A Markup or Markdown text with
_or__around words,~~, or an address written out is drawn differently: as GitHub's Markdown draws it, where 9.0.7 drew the marks as text. A\_keeps an underscore as it is. - The bytes of a PDF with links differ from 9.0.7's: their underline is now in the link's color.
