New Features

  • Anti-Crosstalk slider added under Convergence, to reduce ghosting between the eyes.

    • 100% is the display's default amount. Raise it if you see double edges, lower it if edges look over-corrected.
    • Crosstalk method (Display's default, Off, Static or Dynamic) and an experimental Contrast slider are in Settings, Advanced.
  • Anaglyph Recovered Colour is faster, steadier and cleaner.

    • No more patchy bands in dark areas. Dark areas were being mistaken for plain grey.
    • About 30 to 40% less GPU time for a whole redrawn frame, not using full resolution for each eye.
    • Custom Anaglyph colours. Set each eye's filter colour with a hue slider, or pick it straight from the picture, and save up to eight pairs.
  • RGB + Depth pictures. A picture beside its depth map is shown in 3D, and moving your head looks around it.

  • Experimental DX12 weaver. A new Weaver option that draws the 3D with Direct3D 12.

  • Render straight to the display. When the weave fills the screen with nothing showing through, SR Loom bypasses Windows' compositor.

  • Multi-View Lightfield mode for Quilts and RGB + Depth. Shows many views at once with no eye tracking. Alignment mode added to help view to the lightfield formt he correc tposiiton (when one eye views red, other blue, blending to purple.)

  • Experimental HDR. when HDR switched on for the 3D displays that support it, like Samsung Odyssey 3D.

  • Expanded Profiles. (Thank you NTM)

    • profiles.ini is now read again when there's an edit, and it not lists every setting.
    • format=detect uses Automatic Detection.
  • Theme choice. Auto (follows Windows), Light or Dark, from the theme button in the panel header.

Other improvements

  • Less periodic hitches. The render loop now runs on its own thread, which removes a dropped frame or two every 10 to 20 seconds.
  • Full resolution per eye for Top-and-Bottom, row interleaved, frame packing, anaglyph, Pulfrich and frame-sequential.
  • Faster conversion in every mode.
  • SR Loom's GPU work is scheduled ahead of other programs', so a busy browser slows it less.
  • Better Checkerboard: each eye is rebuilt at full size, with no zig-zag vertical edges.
  • 360° is one input now, with a VR180° or VR360° choice.
  • Detect Eye Order is off by default.
  • Performance Log also records what the SR runtime reported and the time from the weave to the display.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a profile's 3D switching off by itself when a viewer dropped out of fullscreen for a moment.
  • Fixed the last 3D picture staying on screen after weaving was stopped.
  • Fixed stutter with SR Loom's panel hidden in the tray on Windows 11.
  • Fixed Full Top-and-Bottom coming out stretched on a captured screen.
  • Fixed washed-out colours and reversed eyes with Katanga and geo-11's katanga modes.
