Versions 2.5 to 2.8 were never released

  • updated the list of collections
  • solved an issue which was giving a 502 server error for large literatures (in the previous versions, the script tried to get the data with one single request -- up to 1000 hits; now it checks the date of the first and last hits and then gets the data in two-year intervals)
  • added warnings for empty database
  • add the option for latest years
  • add the breakdown of papers by citations
  • add other author-level metrics (i10-, g-, and m-indices)
  • add the option for limiting the number of authors (the variable authors_limit at line 153 can be modified but cannot be passed in the CLI)
  • moved from optparse (deprecated) to argparse
  • change multiple conditional statements from if/elif to match/case
  • count citations of citeable hits
