Varyz 0.1.3
Varyz 0.1.3 adds a monthly Varyz Wrapped card, quieter agents and briefings that carry only what fits the task.
Monthly Varyz Wrapped. A card to share: your AI type (one of 46, read from all your rules) with how rare it is among 1,109 public AI rule files on GitHub, then three short lines your agents follow, signed "My AI got the memo." It comes in yellow and in black. The lines come from your own confirmed rules, and any starter line on a downloaded card becomes a real rule, so the card never says something your agents were not told. The rules page shows it when you save, and varyz wrapped writes both images. Once a month your agent shows the card in the chat with one line under it: nothing to run, nothing to answer, and never raised again if you let it pass (varyz news off turns it off).
Quieter agents. The stop check and writing check no longer appear under the agent's finished reply; both are opt-in. Owner questions stay with the conversation they were asked in, and unanswered ones expire after 7 days (nothing is deleted).
Smaller briefings. Rules written for another situation stay out of unrelated work, a project briefing lists at most 8 related decisions, and earlier sessions are short lines. A typical first briefing is about a third smaller.
Recipes for differently worded tasks. A saved recipe now reaches tasks that name the same kind of work in other words ("make a demo video" reaches "Record a screencast"), while broad kinds such as release still need a word in common. Matching stays lexical, with no extra AI call.
Data signals and activation count. Both are covered by the one Varyz network opt-in; nothing is sent without it. The memory test is on by default ([signals] memory_test = false turns it off), agents give their guess on every question, and once you have joined the network the daily counts include when a saved answer or rule is reused in a new conversation. varyz data preview shows the exact records.
Code signing policy. varyzai.com/code-signing covers the planned free Windows signing by SignPath Foundation, the signed and notarized Mac packages, team roles and privacy.
Download the installer matching your computer. Windows is unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning. The Mac packages are signed and notarized. Linux users can install the release wheel or source package. SHA-256 checksums and release verification receipts accompany the downloads; the receipts record the CI-verified build of this exact public commit.
Varyz 0.1.2
Varyz 0.1.2 is lighter on your computer, remembers how hard tasks got done, and makes setup's time estimates honest.
Task recipes. When an agent works out a task the hard way (several tries, a fix it had to discover), it saves how to do it: up to 8 short steps, how to tell it worked and the one trap to avoid. The next time the same kind of task comes up, the agent gets the recipe up front, and Varyz asks afterwards how it went. Recipes are small (about 400 tokens at most), are written by the agent with no extra AI call, and stop being served after two failures in a row.
Lighter alpha. A laptop overheated while setup compiled a personal model nothing answered from. The personal model, the graph builder and conversation windows are now out of the alpha: setup has six steps, and updated installs delete what older versions built, in small resumable steps (on one large archive, 2.7 GB shrank to 342 MB). The reranker model downloads only where a judge runs, and workflow learning is off by default.
Honest setup. Setup says a warm computer and faster battery use are normal during heavy steps. Time left now follows the recent pace instead of the whole run, and local reading is estimated at 1 second a message, measured on real hardware.
More useful network examples (opt-in only). For people who share with the Varyz network, examples now say whether agents followed confirmed rules, which model did the work and whether a question to the owner was needed. Everything is scrubbed on your computer first, and varyz data preview shows the exact records. The privacy policy (22 October 2026) lists the new data.

Varyz 0.1.1
Varyz 0.1.1 makes first-run learning reliable on large histories and makes Varyz uninstall cleanly.
Faster, steadier learning. On a large history, preference learning now reads the newest 4,000 eligible messages and says how many older ones it left out. Background readers that make no progress are stopped instead of sitting idle, and setup shows unknown, stale or stalled progress honestly instead of a countdown.
No Documents folder. Setup no longer offers your whole Documents folder. It offers the files of a project you run setup in, labelled Project files.
Clean uninstall. varyz uninstall now stops everything Varyz still runs, including the windowless learning and setup processes that could keep its files open on Windows and make removal fail. The Windows uninstaller no longer refuses while Varyz is running: it stops Varyz first and asks for a restart only if something will not stop. Setup also closes itself when its page has been closed for 30 minutes, even if a run froze.
Your archive, configuration and models are kept on uninstall, as before.

Varyz 0.1.0
Varyz 0.1.0 includes the merged local release work, first-run learning and review improvements, and the new optional Varyz network contributions.
The network offer appears after the initial trial window when you save a rules review. Sharing stays off until you choose Share anonymized data. Closing the offer means no. Existing counts-only consent never authorizes examples. Use varyz data preview to inspect the scrubbed examples and varyz data off to stop sharing and request deletion. Automatic cleaning does not guarantee anonymity; see the privacy notice before opting in.

This release adds the missing data preview --limit help explanation found by the full test suite. SHA-256 checksums and release verification receipts accompany the downloads; the receipts record the CI-verified build and show that its application files are identical to this public source.
The package includes the Cloud client commands; the hosted Cloud service runs separately and is not part of this source. Shared Varyz remains an approved-account pilot. Marketplace listing approval and owner-device Mac GUI acceptance remain separate from these release checks.
