v2.0.0
OmniRoute Provider v2.0.0
This major release makes the authenticated OmniRoute gateway the sole source of truth for model and combo discovery.
Breaking change
The plugin no longer injects or automatically selects omniroute/auto. Existing provider configuration is preserved, but users must select a model or combo returned by their authenticated OmniRoute /v1/models catalog. omniroute/auto remains usable only when that gateway actually advertises auto.
Added and changed
- Discover user-specific models and combos from authenticated
/v1/modelsresponses without a static fallback. - Preserve returned model and combo IDs exactly.
- Expose model-specific thinking controls from advertised capability metadata.
- Map an explicit thinking-off selection to
reasoning_effort: "none"while leaving session/configured defaults to OpenClaw. - Scope catalog caching to the normalized gateway URL, authentication profile, and a non-reversible credential fingerprint.
- Keep discovery credentials separate from runtime request credentials.
- Preserve existing onboarding configuration without fabricating a model or default selection.
- Harden release publishing with frozen dependency installs, tests, and tag/version validation.
Upgrade
After upgrading, authenticate to OmniRoute and run openclaw models list. Review primary, fallback, and manually configured omniroute/auto references, replacing them with an advertised omniroute/<model-id> or omniroute/<combo-id> when auto is not returned.
Validation
- 46 unit/integration tests
- clean frozen-lockfile build
- ClawHub package validation with zero issues or warnings
- packed-artifact imports against OpenClaw 2026.7.1 and 2026.8.1-beta.2
- authenticated live-catalog projection with no synthetic IDs
