Tool Kits 2.7.44 — Tagline and Custom Open Graph Images
Tool Kits 2.7.44 adds custom Open Graph images and a clearer Tagline variable in the SEO Content editor.
- Choose Tagline from SEO title > Insert variable. It uses the WordPress Tagline through the existing
%%sitedesc%%token, preserving saved templates. - Use Upload / choose image in Social media preview to upload an image or select one from the WordPress Media Library. Save through the page's Save/Update button.
- Unset Open Graph images continue to use the Featured Image (thumbnail), with the site's social image as a fallback. Use thumbnail clears the custom image without changing the post's Featured Image.
- Custom previews remain selected while the thumbnail changes in Gutenberg or Classic Editor. Resetting restores the current thumbnail.
- Saved custom images reach public Open Graph metadata even when no custom SEO title or description is set, including theme-managed sites. Existing Twitter image tags are aligned with the selected image.
- Image attachments, edit/upload permissions and the save nonce are validated. Deleted custom attachments fall back to the default image.
Validation
- 56/56 default regression cases pass on PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.4.
- SEO Content panel, title, locale and public-output suites pass on both runtimes, including 55 public-output checks and 52 locale/panel checks.
- Browser checks pass for image selection, cancellation, picker reuse, thumbnail independence, live fallback/reset behavior and existing responsive editor controls.
- Release metadata, ZIP structure, packaged PHP syntax and source/package consistency are verified before publishing. SHA-256 is included in
SHA256SUMS.
