Lecture Studio 0.1.7

The library stays in sync. Files added, edited, deleted or pulled outside the app now show up on their own: the file list updates, the profile reloads when studio.json changes, the git state refreshes, and the open deck reloads (or shows a "Changed on disk, reload" notice when you have unsaved edits). A Refresh button in the library and workspace headers, and View > Refresh Library (⌘R), read the folder again on demand.

Lecture Studio 0.1.6

Follow a working assistant. While a reply is in progress the chat shows what the assistant is doing, how long it has been at it, and its last few steps as they happen. The full list stays behind "N steps".

Keep typing while it works. The composer no longer locks. ⌘↩ queues the message; it shows as a dashed bubble and goes out by itself when the assistant finishes. ⌥⌘↩ (Steer now) offers the note to the running turn so the assistant reads it at its next step; the note shows as pending, and if the turn ends before a step takes it, it goes out as the next message and a notice says so. After Stop or an error, queued messages wait for you.

Lecture Studio 0.1.5

The Connect the assistant step in Getting started, and the notice in an empty chat, now update the moment you save the project id and key in Settings (or import them from .env), instead of waiting for the next screen change. Otherwise the same app as 0.1.4.

Lecture Studio 0.1.4

Fixes the Connect… button in the Getting started card and in the chat's empty state, which opened nothing on macOS 26. Both now open Settings. Otherwise the same app as 0.1.3: chat history per course and per unit, native rendering of long replies, and the drag-to-Applications install window.

Lecture Studio 0.1.3

Chat history. Every course and every unit now keeps its own conversations on your Mac. The chat opens on the most recent one and continues its session; History in the chat toolbar lists the earlier ones, newest first, and opens any of them; New keeps the current conversation in the list and starts another. Conversations from before this version were not stored and cannot be recovered.

Long replies. Finished assistant replies render as native text: exact layout however long they are, selection and link clicks as in any Mac text view, and a stream that stays smooth with long replies above it.

Install window. The disk image opens with the app, an arrow and your Applications folder: drag, then open Lecture Studio from Applications. Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Lecture Studio 0.1.2

Long assistant replies no longer freeze the app. The chat used to re-render the whole transcript for every streamed token, and with a long reply on screen one pass took longer than the gap between tokens, so the app stopped responding. Stream updates now land a few times a second, finished messages keep their layout, the reply shows as plain text while it streams and turns into formatted markdown when the turn ends, and the transcript follows the stream only while you are at the bottom.

Install: open the disk image and drag Lecture Studio to Applications. Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
