A lightweight system monitor that lives in the macOS menu bar.

Install

Download Mactivity-1.0.0.dmg, open it, and drag Mactivity to your
Applications folder. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by
Apple, so it opens normally on first launch.

Mactivity has no window of its own — after launching, look for the waveform
icon in the menu bar.

What's in it

  • Menu bar readout for CPU, memory, network and battery.
  • Panel with CPU, GPU, memory and disk rings, each with a 60-second history.
  • Per-core load bars, live memory pressure, and an app/wired/compressed breakdown.
  • Top five CPU processes, with graceful quit and Option-click force quit.
  • Detachable floating widget, compact mode, six accent colours.
  • Launch at Login, and purge for reclaiming inactive memory.

Idle cost is about 1% of one core; around 8% with the floating widget visible
and every graph updating once a second.

Requirements

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Universal binary — Apple Silicon and Intel.
