Introduction / Changes

New features:

• CR Council: Full support for CR elections (registration, vote, deposit, withdraw...)
• Wallet: More convenient way to view transactions (fewer clicks, hiding footer)
• Identity: New tabs organization for credentials: removed "verified", showing "conform, private, public".
• Identity: Anonymous statistics service about credentials, for the credential toolbox (DID developers). Essentials credentials now implementing standard credentials formats.
• Identity: Improved intent screens to show information about the calling apps.
• Hive: New hive backup credential intent to allow external apps such as HiveHub to backup and transfer hive vaults.
• Security: Following Slowmist security audit, a few improvements: added rooted/jailbroken device detection, added phishing checker in dApp browser, forbid screen capture on android, secure keypad to type mnemonics.
• Wallet: Improved discovery of NFT tokens (eg: phantz NFTs can now be discovered).

Major bug fixes:

• DPoS Voting: Fixed can't unselect inactive nodes (can't vote)
• DPoS Voting: Fixed wallet saying balance is not enough sometimes
• Launcher: Fixed recent dApps list messed up on newest iOS versions
• Wallet: Fixed some NFT pictures or data can't be retrieved sometimes becuase of IPFS gateways, fixed some token prices shoowing 0 sometimes on BSC.

What's next

• We are still actively reworking the crypto wallet part to integrate ledger nano and ELA multi-signature wallets.
• Ledger support is almost complete, waiting for Ledger to approve our ELA hardware app update + waiting for design integration completion.
• Multi-signature support for ELA mainchain is not started inside Essentials but our team has launched the task to write a Elastos Wallet JS SDK. This SDK is now starting to work and can handle multi-sig transactions. Essentials will soon use it to implement the multi-sig feature overall.
• Almost all security improvements reported by the slowmist security audit have been handled. We will soon submit an updated Essentials release to Slowmist for a last verification, before publishing the audit result.
• Hive JS SDK now seems to be more stable and ready to be used by Essentials. Now awaiting for finalize ledger (lots of diverging changes in the ledger branch) before using hive JS to support hive vaults backup and transfers.
• The credential toolbox has progressed a lot. Now waiting for the first anonymous inputs to continue improving this tool for developers before we can officially release the tool.
• Waiting for the ledger branch to be finalized before working on boot speed improvements (Essentials is now a bit too slow to start and must be faster to retain users).
• Background study on a FIAT ramp-up gateway widget with ELA-ESC integration.
• Stabilize a few issues, a few UX improvements.
