Spectra 0.6.0
Changed
- Install a private Python runtime and application dependencies with uv during Setup instead of bundling them into the installer.
- Show dependency installation output in Setup and propagate its exit code.
- Launch installed copies and existing Explorer integration through the private interpreter, with packaged version metadata and icons.
- Remove the previous bundled runtime during upgrades and keep user settings outside the installation directory.
- Setup requires an internet connection to download Python and application dependencies.
Download Spectra-0.6.0-windows-amd64-Setup.exe. Setup installs a private Python 3.12.10 runtime and dependencies with uv; no system Python is required. Dependency versions resolve during installation.
Saved settings remain in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Spectra\settings.ini. When upgrading from 0.5.4 or earlier, add the [performance] section documented in the README before launching.
Validation: 9 tests passed. Installer lifecycle checks use a separate test identity on Windows; no clean-VM validation was performed.
