The car should handle smartcharging in a better fashion.

It's very normal these day to enable smart charging in your home charger. In that case the home charger will not start to charge when car is connected to the charger. It will resume charging maybe som hours later.

It appears that the Audi Q6 is not understanding that it migth be quite normal to attach a charging cable but not initiate a charging session. Often a initial charging session is executed, to calculate the charge speed, and after a few minutes, the home charger will stop charging, and resume at a later point in time.

This seems to make the Audi Q6 to believe something is wrong, and actuallt give aerror messages, and put a error in the myAudi app. It also shows reds circle in the charging port.

It may even go into a state that prevent the home charger to resume the charging session.

Solution : This could be handled in a very much better way, and not posting errors all over, when everything is actually perfectly normal.

It has been observed that short time after home charges has paused the charging to resume later, the car is detecting the lack of current from the charger, but after more time it's (wrongly) showing all these error messages,

I have the same problem. I use Tibber "smart charging", like this:

I have preset smart charging, so my Zaptec Go charger charges every night when the electricity is cheap. I've set it so the car is charged to 80 % every morning at 07:00.

In practice it works like this:

1. I park and open the charging port
2. I plug in the cable
3. Since the Zaptec Go charger has ben configured to not start charging until electricity is cheap, the car does not get the expected power, and shows a red warning light in the charge port and a similar warning in the app.
4. In the middle of the night, when the electricity is cheap and the Zaptec Go starts charing, the light turns green on the car, the error message in the app disappears, and everything is ok.
5. At 07:00 the car is charged to 80 %.

It would be nice if the car handled this better.

Update: after installing KD2* service update, this actually seems to beeing fixed.

Now the App is not flashing an error and the charging status is just as it should be: Charging is paused, when the charging robot is waiting for lower grid prices.
