Failed to build from source code

Hey, I'm trying to make an Aur package from this repo and on the latest commit it fails to build. I even tried to build it manually if the package manager was somehow the problem.

I used the original Aur PKGBUILD as a starting point for dependencies but perhaps I still missed some dependents however, it built successfully for the first few releases.

It's to do with whether this patch is included or not: H-M-H#273

First I included it, but then it broke some builds, so I removed it!

I think it's because ffmpeg changed (slightly) a function signature between versions, so it depends which version of ffmpeg you are using.

I think the bundled version of ffmpeg is the one that requires the patch. I suggest not using it and using a system version instead.

Currently I'm building on Ubuntu like this:

The --features ffmpeg-system tells it to use the system ffmpeg.

looks like the AUR already does that. hmm ill try building it.

Seems the patch is necessary on current Arch, so guess I should add it back in. Not sure why Ubuntu manages to build without it. Problem is the Mac builds are still using the bundled ffmpeg and won't build with the patch.

OK, patch is back and I fixed the Mac build. You should be good to build this release: https://github.com/electronstudio/WeylusCommunityEdition/releases/tag/2024.8.3

OK, patch is back and I fixed the Mac build.

What ended up being the problem with the Mac build if I may ask @electronstudio?
