π elevata 1.0.0 β A system, not just a set of features
With version 1.0.0, elevata reaches a major milestone.
What started as a SQL generation layer has become a metadata-native data platform engine β
one where transformations are no longer implicit side effects of SQL, but explicit, inspectable models.
β¨ What makes this release special
The centerpiece of elevata 1.0.0 is the Query Builder.
Instead of editing SQL or relying on conventions, queries are now modeled as a formal query tree:
- each transformation step is explicit
- each dependency is visible
- each result is deterministic and explainable
SQL is no longer the place where meaning is hidden β
it is a derived artifact, generated from metadata and contracts.
π‘ Why this matters
- Complex transformations become understandable
- Changes become predictable
- Errors are detected before execution
- Data logic becomes maintainable at scale
Combined with Query Contracts, lineage, and governance-aware execution, elevata provides
a foundation for data platforms that value correctness, transparency and long-term evolution.
βοΈ Stability guarantee
Version 1.0.0 is the first stable release of elevata.
From this point on:
- metadata models
- execution semantics
- and public interfaces
are considered stable and backwards-compatible.
Future releases will build on this foundation β without breaking it.
