OpenTurbine Setup Tool v0.5.24
Unsigned Windows Setup Tool release.
Who should install this release?
- Windows users whose board is visible to Windows but has no usable COM port, especially on a fresh PC without CP210x or WCH drivers.
What changed for users?
- The tool now keeps the matching CP210x or WCH driver action available when another, unrelated COM port made the ESP32 bootloader probe fail.
- It still gives BOOT/RESET guidance instead of suggesting a redundant driver when the detected bridge already owns a COM port.
- The EXE and recommended ZIP now enforce the same setup-tool version; download both from this release.
Supported boards
- Classic ESP32 with at least 4 MB flash
- ESP32-S3 DevKitC-1 N16R8 target
Before updating
- Download both OpenTurbineSetupTool.exe and OpenTurbine_Recommended.zip from this release.
- The Clean install / reinstall path erases the selected board. Use Update and keep my setup for normal working-controller updates.
Known limitation
- This EXE is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen or Smart App Control may warn or block it. Continue only after verifying this official OpenTurbine release and, if needed, its SHA-256 checksum.
