Fixes

• Whatever you pick on the home screen (GTA IV, The Lost and Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony) is now what you play. It loads your newest save for that game, or starts it fresh if you don't have one yet. No more getting sent to whichever episode you saved last.

New: Display presets

• Recommended: the game as it comes, in 4K at 60 FPS.
• Performance: 1440p with fewer cars and people, for the steadiest 60.
• Quality: sharper and longer shadows, more detail in the distance, SMAA and the enhanced effects, still at 60.

Change any single setting and you're on Custom.

We're still working on improvements and reading every log you send. Logs now include a frame pacing report that shows us exactly where the game stutters, so keep sending them through the Recomp Store. We're making this game better day by day.

Download PPSA94004.zip and copy the PPSA94004 folder to /data/homebrew/, or update through Recomp Store.

GTA IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, running natively on PS5. Built on Liberty Recompiled by OZORDI and LibertyRecompAndroid by vaduur.

What's in it

• Native 4K with a 60 FPS limit. Most of the city holds 60, the busiest streets can dip into the high 40s and 50s
• 120 Hz and VRR support, plus a 40 FPS mode for 120 Hz TVs
• PlayStation button prompts
• DualSense: light bar (police lights when you're wanted), adaptive triggers, extra rumble
• Hub: pick GTA IV or either episode, each with its own look and menu music
• Install the game and episodes from your own files, import your Xbox 360 saves, back up and restore saves, trophies
• Graphics settings: resolution, draw distance, city population, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, shadows, reflections, motion blur, film grain and FusionFix's enhanced effects
• Centered car camera and car camera speed options
• FPS counter (off by default)
• English, French, German, Spanish and Italian

How to install

The easiest way is Recomp Store: it installs the app and downloads Title Update 8 for you.

By hand:

1. Download PPSA94004.zip below and copy the PPSA94004 folder to /data/homebrew/ on your PS5.
2. Put your GTA IV (USA) Xbox 360 .iso and its Title Update 8 in /data/homebrew/PPSA94004/install/.
3. Open the app and press X on Home. You need about 17 GB free. Keep a payload loader running (etaHEN, elfldr...) for a much faster install. You can delete the ISO and TU after.
4. Episodes: copy the package from your 360's drive (Content/0000000000000000/545407F2/00000002) into the same install folder and install it from the Episodes page.
