NativeAgent 0.4.19
NativeAgent 0.4.19
It feels like a Mac app now. Every menu, list, search field and fold is the
Mac's own, chat streams smoothly to the last word, and the iPhone app is
rebuilt the same way and becomes a full remote for the Mac. Doctor is one
button that fixes what is broken, the agent picks up after interruptions on
its own, and replies are faster and cheaper because far more of every request
is served from the prompt cache.
Native, everywhere
- The chat box's words are real Mac menus: pick a model by provider (and by
company on OpenRouter) in a cascade that never jumps, set how hard it
thinks, choose what it may do on its own. The context meter opens a small
popover. - Simple, Advanced and Agent are one segmented control. The conversation
list and the Simple sidebar are the Mac's own lists: click, arrow keys,
folding sections. - Search fields, folds, grouped lists and right-click menus are the system's,
and text and dividers use the system colours, so light mode, dark mode and
Increase Contrast all just work. - Clear glass on the sidebar and the chat box.
- A new-chat button in the Simple view header.
Chat that flows
- Replies stream steadily and finish on time: no freeze near the end, and the
reply settles the moment it is done. - Telegram replies stream live in Telegram's own draft preview, letter by
letter, and land as one clean message. A slow Telegram never holds up the
reply. - GPT-6.1 Sol is available with a ChatGPT or Codex sign-in.
- Typing
/opens the command menu above the box without stealing your
typing. - Find in a conversation (Command-F) uses the Mac's search field: Return
steps through matches, Escape closes it.
iPhone
- The iPhone app wears the Mac's look: the drifting light behind every
screen (same seven colours, picked in Settings) and chat that reads like
the Simple view. - Every page is rebuilt on iPhone's own lists: sections, rows, chevrons and
the real press highlight, over the same drifting light. - Inbox, Approvals and the Desk show one row per item; swipe an Inbox item
to dismiss it. Desk items, tasks and new-item sheets read like Settings. - The iPhone follows the chat you have open on the Mac, and a draft stays
with its own chat. - The iPhone is a remote for the Mac: change the trust level, scheduled jobs,
connectors, helpers, Telegram and provider settings from the phone. - Every approval card reaches the phone the moment it is filed, as a push,
and can be approved or denied right there, whoever raised it.
The agent's hands
- It uses the Mac like a person: an app comes forward only when a menu, key,
drag or real click needs it (never while you're using the Mac), menus work
in apps with no window, shortcuts reach an open sheet, and controls deep
inside Electron and Chrome apps are found by name first try. - A message written in the same step as the actions it reports on waits for
their results, so a "done" can't go out before the work did. - Fixed a crash when reading text off a screenshot.
Telegram
- A reply grows in one message as it is written, instead of being rewritten
at the end. - The "Transcribing voice message" note goes away once the words are in.
The agents it works with
- Replies from other agents come back into the chat on their own, including
answers to messages it sent while talking with another agent. - A conversation waiting on your approval moves on by itself once you decide,
and anything queued behind it goes. An agent cut off by a restart comes
back instead of disappearing from the list. - An agent it reaches through another app's window gives up after three
minutes instead of waiting forever. - The notes agents exchange behind the scenes no longer show in your chat.
- With Full Mac on, what it does after you answer one of its cards, and
messages to your agents while it talks with another agent, no longer ask
again. Coding agents that can run code on your Mac still ask.
Doctor: one button
- Diagnostics → Doctor has one button, Repair. It runs every check, leaves
what is working alone and fixes what is broken: background tasks, sign-ins
that can refresh, a half-finished provider switch, the connection test,
local bridges, the memory model download, Desk and saved-file problems. - When something needs you (signing in again, choosing a model), Repair takes
you to the page where you do it instead of leaving a note. - No more false warnings right after launch or for things that are fine.
Picks up where it left off
- If the app quits in the middle of a reply, that chat gets one line saying
so; say "continue" and it carries on. Nothing is re-run on its own. - Setup and permission cards no longer stop the rest of a turn; the card
shows in your chat, in Activity and on the phone. - After you approve something, it checks the result and tells you what
happened. - Errors say how to fix them, and a long job no longer stops partway with
"next I'll…".
Faster, cheaper replies
- The tools it uses most are always ready, so each request starts the same
way and is mostly read from the prompt cache, on every provider. Claude's
cache now lasts an hour from the first message.
Smaller improvements
- Claude Sonnet 5.5 is available. Claude and Claude Desktop wear the Clawd
icon in the sidebar. - The agent can delete a reminder or a shared task it made, only by exact
match. - Scheduled jobs: pause and cancel are different things, jobs can be edited,
and a date schedules a one-off job. - Lists say how many there are in all; memories list newest first; the
clipboard read respects its size limit; mail in the inbox always opens. - A GitHub sign-in saved by an earlier version repairs itself.
- The off-disk backup checks once a day.
Fixes
- The Providers and Trust pages no longer crash when VoiceOver or another
accessibility tool reads them. - Under the hood the engine is split into smaller sealed parts; nothing you
use changed, it just keeps changes safer and builds faster.
