• Reads all components from the open PCB and displays them grouped by part, with designators, values, descriptions, and quantities
• Instantly highlights parts missing an LCSC part number or a 3D STEP model
• Fetch latest pricing and stock levels from JLCPCB for all parts, or only for parts not yet priced
• Shows a running total BOM price
• Assign an LCSC part number to any ungrouped part directly from the table

  • Some models have unusual offsets, often minor, some times severy hundred mm wrong.
  • Detect an incorrect offset by it being more that 50% of the model's length on that particular axis
  • Almost all EasyEDA models have 0,0,0 offsets, so when known to be erroneous, adjust to 0,0,0
  • Tested on several known bad model imports, and works well.
  • This cannot be 100%, but will be a huge improvement over the default behavior
• Categories Overhaul
  • Fixed, curated set of ~32 KiCAD categories instead of one library per raw LCSC category
  • Any LCSC category is mapped to the closest matching bucket, with an Uncategorized fallback
  • Off-PCB / non-KiCAD categories (cleaning, off-board PSUs, finished units, accessories) are dropped
  • Raw LCSC category is still stored as the symbol's Category property (granular search, reparseable without the API)
  • All category libraries and the sym-lib-table are created up front on startup / when the library location changes, so KiCAD does not need a restart for a new category
  • Category dropdown is now the fixed curated list (no longer a live JLCPCB fetch)
  • New Setting "Allow editing category" - relabels the Category metadata only, does not move the symbol to another library (off by default)

  • Import from the terminal: python gui2.py -i C1234

  • From a file (one part per line): python gui2.py -I parts.txt
  • Set the library location from the CLI: python gui2.py --set-library /path/to/library
