preflight scan-prep — shared graphify_scan_prep CLI (dedup, token-optimization)
Lightening pass option #5: the graphify_scan_prep decision tree was an ~84%-identical inline bash block duplicated across dev-workflow.md + quick-implement.md (a KEEP-IN-SYNC burden). Extracted into one CLI.
preflight scan-prep --scope=<task>— readspreflight-brief.json(direct_dependents_count+graph_stats.trust+topic.symbols), applies the adaptive threshold via graphify, picks the central symbol, and returns{decision, central_symbol, dependents, trust, threshold, symbols_count, reason}. Writesgraphify-skip-reason.txton SKIP (preserving the assert-graphify-decision "exactly one artifact" contract). The orchestrator reads.decisionand runs the MCP calls (still its job — ACTIVE → blast_radius + drill-down, RECOVERY → query_graph, SKIP → grep fallback). No feature removed.- dev-workflow context_init: 6 → 5; quick-implement: 7 → 6 orchestrator CLI round-trips (cumulative with the prior wrapper: dev-workflow 16 → 5, quick-implement 11 → 6). Removes the duplicate decision tree.
- K203 locks the CLI's 3-way decision + the skip artifact. Drift stack 109 → 110-deep (K94–K203).
Note: the gate→hook lever was investigated and reclassified — devt's PostToolUse(Task) hooks are advisory-only, so migrating assert-artifact-present off its inline hard-block would regress enforcement. It is a reliability lever (add unskippable hook + keep the block), NOT a lightening one. The remaining lightening backlog is recorded in the project memory.
