v0.2.0
Figxit shows a native autocomplete popup for your terminal on macOS. It lists subcommands, options, files, make targets, package scripts, and your history as you type.
In this version
- tmux is optional. The popup works in tmux and directly in a terminal app. Without tmux, the terminal app must report its cursor position. Tested in Ghostty, iTerm2, and Terminal.
- bash and fish. New adapters for bash 5 or later and fish 4, with the same keys as zsh.
- New setup window. It lists each shell on your Mac, with a Set Up button for each one.
- New Doctor window. One row for each check, and a Copy Report button for bug reports.
- A complete command shows its list one column to the right, where it stays after the space.
- A first word that differs from what you typed only by letter case is not listed.
Limits
- The
/bin/bashof macOS is version 3.2 and does not work. Use bash from Homebrew. - Without tmux, a native split of the terminal app gets no popup. Use tmux for splits.
- In bash and fish, the popup is off in vi mode.
