Major changes

Reliable auto-updater

  • Rewritten using the proven pattern from Go/Rust CLI tools (atomic rename)
  • Works on macOS, Windows, and Linux
  • Shows clear "please restart" message instead of failing silently
  • Errors are surfaced in the UI with actionable messages

Smoke-tested binary

  • 12 automated tests run against the actual built executable
  • Verifies: no personal data, fresh profile, sample clauses, zero-price templates
  • Tests run in an isolated data directory — no side effects

Clean first-run experience

  • Sample clauses DB properly loaded (was using wrong source path)
  • All personal data confirmed removed via binary string scan

For Mac users updating from an older version

The old updater silently failed on Mac. You need to manually download this version once — future updates will work automatically.
