RepoReach 0.1.0-beta.1

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

RepoReach puts the GitHub repositories you can access in a folder you choose, grouped by owner. Browse without cloning every repo, prepare a working tree on demand, and keep the current checkout downloaded for offline use. The native window closes to the background, and the Finder extension supplies repository actions.

An open-source Enough Tools project, built on Cloudflare ArtifactFS. The marketing site uses Enough UI.

Downloads

Separate Apple Silicon and Intel DMG/ZIP builds are available at reporeach.reb.run and below. Both are Developer ID signed, including the app, Finder extension, and bundled helpers. Apple notarization is pending; the manifest records notarized: false.

Requires macOS 13 or later, Git, and a separately installed and approved macFUSE kernel backend. FSKit alone is unsupported. Apple Silicon setup may require Recovery and Reduced Security. Read the platform setup guide before installing.

SHA256SUMS and release.json record artifact hashes, source revision, toolchains, architecture, and signing flags. Source: 6ca731ef237ce41983e86529358fcba0e98c1398.

Validation

  • Engine build, vet, full package tests, and race tests passed on Go 1.26.8.
  • Real Linux FUSE mount smoke, 25 functional end-to-end tests, and 33 subtests passed.
  • Twenty catalogue and twenty concurrent rename stress iterations passed with content and inode assertions.
  • Apple Silicon and Intel native builds passed; all 11 native tests passed.
  • The real Swift/Go control contract and isolated native close/reopen/quit lifecycle passed.
  • Website build, responsive inspection, formatting, and dependency audit passed. Engine vulnerability scanning found no known reachable vulnerabilities. The bundled CLI's conservative scanner finding has a source-backed disposition.

See the validation record for exact scope and environments.

Early beta limits

Use disposable repositories first. Real macOS mounts, installed Finder extension behavior, quarantined first launch, and real private GitHub acquisition remain installation acceptance tasks; Linux mounts and code signing do not establish those results.

Keep Downloaded covers the current committed tree, with no guarantee of complete offline history, submodules, or Git LFS/filter payloads. Previews, indexing, and metadata lookups can trigger downloads. Refresh is explicit and preserves your current branch and staged index. Git commits and pushes remain ordinary Git operations.

Free Up Space refuses local work or metadata it cannot establish as recoverable and refuses busy mounts. It temporarily disconnects the catalogue during reclamation. RepoReach is not a backup system.

Sign-in uses the bundled official GitHub CLI and its shared credential store, with its OAuth permissions. Read privacy and authentication.
