Installation

Before you install: If you use Handheld Companion, Winhanced, or any other tool that manages the controller or HidHide, exit and ideally uninstall it before proceeding. Running two tools that own the controller at the same time will cause conflicts.

Steps after downloading the ZIP

  1. Extract ClawTweaks_0.1.197.234_Installer.zip to a folder of your choice.
  2. Double-click Install.bat — it will request Administrator privileges automatically.
  3. Click Yes when the UAC prompt appears.
  4. Wait for the installation to finish.
  5. Open Xbox Game Bar (Win + G), click the Widgets menu, and enable Gaming.
  6. Search for the ClawTweaks widget and place it as far to the left as possible for the best experience.
  7. On the first launch a UAC prompt will appear in the background — confirm it once to allow the app to run properly.
  8. In the ClawTweaks Main tab, click the MSI Center M tile to disable it — this is required to unlock all features (controller emulation, gyro, button remapping). To restore MSI Center M later, click the tile again and reboot the device.
  9. Go to the Controls tab and enable Virtual Controller & Mouse to activate gyro, button remapping, and all other controller features.

Tips:

  • For per-game profiles, go to Xbox Game Bar → Settings → More Settings → Gaming widget → enable "Know which game or app is in focus".
  • To control the widget order in Game Bar, remove existing widgets using the Start button on each widget, then re-add them in the order you want.

The installer is signed with a self-signed certificate (CN=ClawTweaks Dev, O=MSIClaw). The install script handles certificate trust automatically — no manual steps required.

What's new

  • OptiScaler hotkey fixed — controller button assigned to OptiScaler tile now toggles the overlay correctly in-game without opening the GameBar
  • HidHide added to installer — automatically installed alongside ViGEmBus, PawnIO and RTSS; required to hide physical controller during virtual controller emulation
  • Hotkey notifications improved — all overlay notifications now show "Hotkey: <name>" (e.g. "Hotkey: OptiScaler", "Hotkey: Controller"); display time extended to 4 seconds
  • Extended key fix — Home, Insert and other navigation keys now correctly reach game overlays via the InputInjector path
