Midas 0.33.5 — Compact Menu Bar

Midas 0.33.4 — Pixel Crown

Midas 0.33.4 brings sharper typography and a quieter, clearer layout.

• Native SF typography with aligned financial and usage digits.
• A gold pixel crown with a subtle looping shimmer. Reduce Motion keeps it static.
• Favorite provider and Check for Updates now live in a fixed footer, with a clear selector label.

Midas 0.33.3

Midas 0.33.3 makes the menu bar easier to control and adds signed in-app updates.

• Switch the circle's favorite provider directly from the dropdown at the top of the Midas panel.
• Click Check for Updates beside it, then use Sparkle's Download and Install & Restart flow.
• Orbit shows total token spend beside the selected provider's remaining-capacity ring. Codex is weekly; providers without a quota remain neutral.
• The hover tooltip now shows only past-30-day token counts for the favorite and all enabled providers, with missing coverage disclosed.

Install

Apple Silicon, macOS 14 or later. Version 0.33.3, build 85. Download Midas-0.33.3-macos-arm64.zip, extract, and replace the previous app. The filename remains CodexBar.app for compatibility; it displays as Midas.

Older Midas versions require this one manual upgrade. From 0.33.3 onward, Check for Updates uses the Midas-only Sparkle feed and signing key. Upstream CodexBar updates are never used. Automatic checks are available in Settings → About.

Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, and stapled. 105 Midas tests and strict lint passed. Native light/dark fixtures reviewed. The dSYM and XML files are support assets, not installers.

Midas 0.33.2

Midas now labels API-rate usage values Token spend (API rates) across provider cards, the all-provider total, menu-bar tooltips, and accessibility descriptions.

Provider-metered values remain distinct. Calculation methods, remaining usage, reporting periods, and the explanation that API-rate values are estimates rather than bills are unchanged.

Download Midas-0.33.2-macos-arm64.zip, extract it, and replace your existing app. The bundle retains the filename CodexBar.app for compatibility and displays as Midas. Apple Silicon, macOS 14 or later. Version 0.33.2, build 84.

The app is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and stapled. Automatic upstream CodexBar updates remain disabled; Midas releases are installed manually.

Validation

• 34 focused presentation, spend, total, and layout tests passed.
• Strict formatting/lint checks passed.
• Light and dark native fixtures checked for the longer labels.

The dSYM ZIP is optional debugging data. SHA256SUMS.txt contains asset checksums.

Midas 0.33.1

Midas now has its own native menu-bar design, with estimated spend and remaining capacity at the center.

• Ledger: a crisp Midas mark and stable estimated-spend total across enabled providers.
• Focus: pin one provider's remaining quota; Codex always shows weekly remaining.
• Constellation: separate compact readings for up to three providers, prioritizing Codex, Cursor, and Meta.
• Choose a mode in Settings → Display, hide spend in the status item and its descriptions, or restore the original controls with Legacy.
• Refresh movement is tied to actual initial/manual requests. Brief update fades honor Reduce Motion. Low quota, service incidents, stale data, and partial totals have static indicators.
• Includes Midas Air, the resizable Usage window, provider spend totals, corrected logos, and Codex reset-credit details.

Midas 0.33.1, build 83 — Apple Silicon (arm64), macOS 14 or later. This asset does not include an Intel build.

Signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and stapled for offline verification. SHA256SUMS.txt
contains checksums for the app archive and matching debug symbols.

Download Midas-0.33.1-macos-arm64.zip, extract it, and open the included app. Its bundle directory remains CodexBar.app for compatibility; its displayed name is Midas. Quit an older running copy before replacing it. Existing provider settings and account storage retain their original identity.

This release uses manual GitHub downloads. Upstream CodexBar Sparkle updates and Homebrew publishing remain disabled for Midas. Dollar figures are usage-rate estimates, not a combined invoice; unavailable estimates and separate currencies are disclosed.

Validation

471 focused native design, provider-presentation, menu-bar, settings, and regression tests passed. Strict lint passed with zero violations. Native light/dark fixtures cover readings and status indicators. These checks do not validate live provider account connectivity.
