Critical fix
- Prevent trainer and wild opponent objects from overwriting the creature stored in NVS. Previously, battling could replace the saved pet with the last opponent and alter Pokédex registration; the in-memory pet looked normal until a reboot or firmware update reloaded the corrupted save.
- Restrict persistent writes to the real
Petinstance opened withbegin(). Scratch opponents can no longer write to the shared save namespace.
Upgrading is strongly recommended for anyone using trainer battles or wild encounters.
UI
- Disabled FOCUS and box TAKE actions now show a visible reason, including when the party is full.
Installer
- Published rebuilt v3.18 firmware and an updated web-installer manifest. Existing NVS saves remain outside the installer write ranges.
