BrainFlow v0.1.2 — UX shell revamp (unsigned Windows alpha)

Release from main at 213c6b5 after merging the workflow-first desktop shell UX revamp and aligning all workspace versions to 0.1.2. Product surface remains an unsigned Windows alpha (not GA).

What's in this cut

  • Shell UX (#1): activity rail (Workflow / Notes / Tools), progressive disclosure, vault section tabs, streamlined chrome + command search affordance, clearer empty/LLM setup states, editor More menu for secondary actions.
  • Version alignment (#2 / 4f7f932): npm / Cargo / Tauri / Python worker / lockfiles bumped 0.1.10.1.2; README + release example paths updated.
  • CI green on main for this tag tip (213c6b5).

Installers (Windows x64, unsigned)

Rebuild on Windows via CARGO_BUILD_JOBS=2 npm run build:desktop so asset names match the tag:

  • NSIS: BrainFlow_0.1.2_x64-setup.exe
  • MSI: BrainFlow_0.1.2_x64_en-US.msi

Not code-signed. SmartScreen / Enterprise policy may warn. This GitHub Release ships the tagged source; attach rebuilt installers when available from a Windows packaging host.

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11 x64 with WebView2
  • Ollama for live AI workflow generation (fail-closed without a healthy LLM)
  • Prefer vault folders outside OneDrive/Dropbox

Honest limitations

Still not GA. See docs/REMAINING_GAPS.md — unsigned installers, no macOS/Linux packaging verification, live AT/GPU soak and GA release gates remain open.
