Install

1. Download Jose-0.1.5.zip below.
2. Unzip and drag José.app into /Applications/.
3. Bypass Gatekeeper (one-time, unsigned build):

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/José.app

4. Launch José from /Applications. The first-run window will ask for an OpenAI API key.

What's new

Latched recording. For when you know in advance you'll be talking for a
while and don't want to hold the key down the whole time.

Press Control at any point while your hotkey is held and the recording
latches — a lock replaces the pulsing dot in the pill, and you can let go and
keep talking. Press the hotkey again and release it to stop, exactly like
ending a normal hold.

Control held before you press the hotkey latches too, so Ctrl+hotkey works
as a chord in either order. Stopping with Ctrl+hotkey works as well as the
hotkey alone.

Hold mode only — toggle mode is already hands-free. Not available if Control
itself is your hotkey, since the latch key would be the hotkey.

Fixes

• The HUD pill no longer disappears mid-upload when the 10-minute hard limit
  auto-stops a recording and you then press the hotkey.
• Error messages are no longer dismissed early by releasing the hotkey while
  they're showing.
