A faster Proto that stays close at hand

Proto now keeps active work easier to reach, carries browser context between tasks, and moves more smoothly through demanding desktop sessions.

What is new

  • macOS menu bar: open running chats, requests that need input, and recent work while Proto is in the background.
  • Persistent browser sessions: keep imported signed-in sessions between tasks and manage them from Settings.
  • Broader computer use: verify visible results, use clipboard and application-menu actions, and launch Windows apps more reliably.
  • Desktop performance: smoother resizing, more responsive long conversations, and lower memory pressure from inactive browser views and large results.

Downloads

  • macOS Apple silicon: signed and notarized DMG, plus signed automatic-update archive.
  • Windows x64: updater-signed installer published under versioned and stable names; this release is intentionally not Authenticode-signed.
  • Linux x64: AppImage with updater signature.
  • CLI: versioned and stable npm-compatible tarballs.
