GCD Usage 0.4.1

@eshin087 eshin087 released this 09 Sep 06:24

GCD Usage 0.4.1 adds a Fable weekly meter, an original GCD identity, larger dashboard text, contextual prompt history and a native dock duration picker.

  • Click the token card or right-click the Windows dock to change its rolling interval.
  • Click a prompt for a supported browser conversation or captured details. Coding logs retain a details fallback.
  • Internal browser/context wrappers are removed before preview extraction. Existing previews are repaired without replaying token usage; context-only records remain background activity.
  • Provider/account ownership checks and restricted conversation links harden history handling. See the security review for dependency maintenance notices and trust limits.
  • Includes the six-page manual, also linked near the top of the repository README.

Local validation: 82 Rust tests, 13 frontend tests, Svelte/TypeScript checks, synthetic native context/detail checks, interval totals against SQLite, and dashboard permission/navigation checks. Physical mixed-DPI behavior and provider-specific browser account access remain device checks.

These are unsigned/ad-hoc-signed personal previews. Browser-only conversations require explicit exports; exact browser token usage and automatic cloud synchronization are unavailable.

The Windows mini dock now uses rounded colored cards without grip symbols. Hover a usage card to view the latest ten recorded prompts, including model/reasoning, timestamps, status, and measured tokens. The activity card defaults to the last hour; choose a preset or custom duration in Settings. Prompt previews can be hidden.

The dock remains freely draggable. Existing themes, larger default text, and percentage-left display are preserved. Browser-export tokens remain unknown.

Validation: 74 Windows Rust tests, 12 frontend tests, native drawing and geometry checks, seven populated-history interval comparisons, and native dashboard permission/navigation regressions passed. The user confirmed the hover panel appears above the dock and remains open when entering it. Physical drag and mixed-DPI behavior still need an interactive device check.

Personal preview builds are unsigned or ad-hoc signed. Updates are manual. Choose the package matching your operating system and processor.

GCD Usage 0.2.0 adds browser-export imports, in-app sign-in progress, and device delivery reports for shared-folder history.

  • Import supported Claude and ChatGPT conversation JSON without an extension. Short previews and available model metadata are retained; exact browser token consumption remains unknown.
  • Check existing sign-ins before starting the provider's browser flow. The sign-in helper runs without a terminal window. Organization SSO requires a supported account.
  • See folder checks and reported delivery to other computers in Settings when shared-folder synchronization is configured.
  • Keep the black theme, percentage-left meters, adjustable fonts, unlocked Windows strip, and flexible time-interval statistics.

Windows x64 and ARM64, macOS Intel and Apple Silicon packages are included. These are unsigned/ad-hoc-signed personal preview builds. Updates are manual.

Validation: platform unit tests and frontend checks passed; Windows native checks covered live connections, history filters, interval accounting, hidden sign-in controls, settings persistence, and security boundaries. Both Mac builds passed background-launch checks. Interactive organization SSO and physical Mac display behavior require target-device validation.

Update every computer to 0.2.0 before synchronizing the new browser-history records. See README for setup and privacy information. SHA256SUMS.txt contains package checksums.
