New

  • A demo account on the login page. Off by default. Set DEMO_EMAIL and DEMO_PASSWORD and the login page shows a one-click box that fills the form in — for deployments that offer a public demo. Both variables must be set, so half a credential is never displayed.

Fixed

  • Opening a workspace from a link on another site no longer loops. Arriving from a README, a forum, or a chat app produced ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS, while typing the same URL worked — which made it look intermittent. The bridge now rewrites the instance auth cookie to SameSite=Lax; SameSite=Strict withheld that cookie on cross-site navigations, so the token handshake re-ran forever.
    The change is in the instance image. Upgrade existing instances to 0.1.5-rc.2_4 or later to pick it up.
  • update no longer drops DEMO_EMAIL / DEMO_PASSWORD. The installer rewrites .env wholesale, so those two lines used to disappear without a trace on the next update.
  • The login page used admin@lvh.me as its email placeholder. It is now neutral.
