Screen areas. Draw up to eight rectangles on the picture, and the device
watches them by itself: for a change, for a picture that stops moving, for
one it has saved, or for a colour. An area can send a notification, keep a
dashcam clip and show in Home Assistant, and a runbook can wait for one with wait area Name. Automation panel. API: /api/v1/regions.
The touch remote can sit as a bar under the picture instead of floating
over it: the button at its end docks it, and the console remembers.
Graphs of the frame rate and the bitrate over the last minute in the Video
readout. Touch or point at one for the value at that moment.
A new device asks once what it will be plugged into: a server, a media or
gaming PC, a Steam Deck, a Switch, an Android TV box. Pick all that fit, or
skip it. Each device gets a profile with settings that suit it.
A device that names itself over HDMI-CEC and has no profile yet gets an
offer to make one. "Never for it" stops the offer for that device.
The device presets hide the console buttons that make no sense there: a
Switch gets no keyboard button, a Mi TV Stick (its USB is power only) keeps
the TV remote and little else.
Changed
On a phone held upright the picture sits at the top, with the free space
under it in one piece for the thumb.
On a phone on its side the bottom bar keeps to one row, the rest goes
behind More, so the picture gets the height.
More on a phone is a list with words, not icons alone.
Settings on a phone: the sections are one row that scrolls sideways, and
the profile line takes one row.
Fixed
The search box in Settings, the log and the recordings looked disabled.
On a phone the Num, Caps and Scroll lights were meant to hide and did not,
so the bottom bar ran off the right edge.
A webhook that answered 200 with no length (a plain HTTP/1.0 reply) got
the same notification again and again: the device took the answer for a
failure.
After hours of uptime the stream could switch to MJPEG until a restart.
The H.264 encoder got rebuilt when the picture turned simple, and the new
one found no room in PSRAM. Now it is rebuilt only when the room is there.
