I tested the null hypothesis and found that .bat files do not reflect the expected behaviour

the lights on the faulty keyboard remain on

the lights however seem to flicker when launching .sh files without regard for the filename name

TESTING: non period separated values VS period separated IP style servers as the server name

so far a server has not been found that differs from the pattern
