Relay v0.19.0
Codex CLI integration
Relay now tracks Codex CLI sessions through native hooks, alongside Claude Code. Both agents have setup controls in Settings and onboarding, agent-specific notifications, and assisted session resume after restarting Relay.
- Track running, input requests, completion and session end. Interrupting a Codex turn returns it to idle without a completion notification.
- Manage either integration with
relay-cli hooks setup|status|uninstall [claude|codex|all]. Omitting the agent keeps the existing Claude default. - Hook installation preserves existing user hooks and creates backups.
- Updated English and Italian READMEs, in-app guide, onboarding and technical documentation.
Setup and current limitation
Install the Codex hooks in Settings > Agents, then review their configuration with /hooks in Codex. Review again whenever hook definitions change. Use a Codex CLI version with native hook support.
Codex currently exposes no hook equivalent to Claude Code's StopFailure. Codex API failures remain visible in the terminal but cannot produce Relay's red error badge; the last reported state can remain until another hook arrives.
Validation
make check passed: formatting, lint, build and 502 tests. The hook CLI setup/status/uninstall flow was also checked against temporary configuration files. Interactive Codex trust approval and macOS notification delivery were not exercised end-to-end.
