Summary

ETIS Framework v1.4.0 expands the public ETIS publishing architecture while preserving Engineering Trustworthy Intelligent Systems as the foundational ETIS Framework Reference Work.

This release establishes a durable long-form publishing model alongside the existing ETIS Publications Program.

Major Changes

ETIS Books Architecture

  • Added the ETIS Books landing architecture.
  • Established Engineering Trustworthy Intelligent Systems as the ETIS Framework Reference Work.
  • Clarified the ETIS Two-Volume Professional Edition as the integrated two-volume publishing form of the Framework Reference Work.
  • Added the ETIS Professional Computing Series.
  • Added From Data Structures to Engineering Judgment: Professional Computing in the AI Era as the inaugural Professional Computing Series title.
  • Added book overview, companion-resource, and updates/errata architecture.

Ecosystem Integration

  • Integrated Books across the ETIS website and publishing architecture.
  • Updated Downloads to support both Framework Reference Work and Professional Computing Series titles.
  • Aligned Publications, Education, Engineering Platform, About, Author, First Edition, Legal, and homepage terminology.
  • Preserved Books and Publications as distinct peer publishing forms.
  • Preserved the ETIS Publications Program as the canonical home for White Papers, Executive Briefs, and Education Papers.
  • Preserved the Engineering Platform as the practical implementation environment for applying ETIS.

Repository and Governance

  • Updated root repository documentation, roadmap, changelog, license, and security scope.
  • Updated citation and release metadata for v1.4.0.
  • Clarified the distinction among framework doctrine, professional computing books, focused publications, educational products, and implementation resources.
  • Refined cross-site terminology and internal navigation relationships.

Publishing Architecture

The ETIS publishing ecosystem now distinguishes:

  • ETIS Framework Reference Work — comprehensive ETIS doctrine and full-lifecycle treatment.
  • ETIS Two-Volume Professional Edition — two-volume publishing form of the integrated Framework Reference Work.
  • ETIS Professional Computing Series — sustained professional-computing works aligned with ETIS.
  • ETIS Publications Program — focused, citable White Papers, Executive Briefs, and Education Papers.

Validation

The website and repository documentation were reviewed for navigation consistency, MkDocs link behavior, publishing terminology, and cross-site alignment.

This release represents a publishing-architecture expansion rather than a new edition of the ETIS Framework doctrine.
