Etsy App Approval #1361

Hi all, just starting out with the Etsy API and have created a new app. I've got a keystring and shared secret but it says the word 'disabled' next to Personal Access. Does this mean that it's still awaiting approval or it has been denied? I'm wondering why I have been given a key if it's disabled and I can't use it? |

That actually means you're approved for personal use. Only the outh rate limits is disabled which won't affect your usage of the API |

Hey, how long did it take for the approval? It's been over a week now and it still shows pending approval for me. I've reached out to their support team as well but haven't got a response yet. |

Hi, I'm not sure as for a while I thought it was disabled when it wasn't. But it wasn't that long at all, under 2 weeks I think |

no, not commercial access. I'm just trying to develop a personal program in Visual Studio to manage my own shop and create BI reporting. I'm struggling with the OAuth token at the moment, but made a lot of progress today so fingers crossed I'll get there soon |

Oauth is very complicated. I developed my oauth process with Python. It works great! I also made an Excel file to connect any Etsy API app with the Excel file. Now I can upload listings from my file system and Excel. Let me know if you would like to give it a try! |

Hi rambich, is it possible to try you file please? I have been waiting a month for Etsy approval and got the same above for personal but eventually will need commercial too |
