Probably there is not to do. The VW Portal is currently highly unreliable. It is only providing no or old data. So the first step is that VW to fix it. So download a file from the portal and take a look at the Json and then contact the VW support and report the issue. |

I am quite frustrated by how Volkswagen handled this transition. Providing an official customer data access mechanism is the right thing to do and I welcome that. However, disabling a widely used interface before the replacement is mature enough feels like a step backwards. The current EU Data Act implementation is limited to periodic file delivery, for now with significantly outdated data, while many users relied on real-time information before. What makes this even harder to understand is that commercial services still appear to have access to near real-time vehicle data, whereas the open-source community is effectively restricted to delayed batch exports. Other manufacturers seem to have understood that an active developer and open-source ecosystem can add value to their vehicles and customer experience. I hope Volkswagen will move in that direction as well. |
