Create a Linux/MacOS installation step

This may be as simple as testing ./install.sh and creating a curl | bash command to instruct users how to pull the script and run it.

Look to Heroku for the dev experience.

So, this one is a little spicy. There's lots of different ways to install packages, and by far the easiest is to just ask people to run npx evently-cli (which works when we complete #13 , and a user has Node installed which imho is not that much to ask).

Once we get into installer territory, we need to figure out what the underlying mechanism is for the install.

I noticed that Heroku's installer for example will register an apt repository for Ubuntu (and presumably other Debian-likes): https://github.com/heroku/cli/blob/master/install-ubuntu.sh

This implies we'd need to host this registry somewhere. Better might be to go the Snap route, which is at least what Canonical seems to prefer. I have some experience with this and I believe this also lets us publish in the Snap store. Snaps are more self contained and would include the specific Node run time we'd use.

For non-ubuntu, Flatpak is an option.

For Mac, my first inclination is also try and integrate with any existing package facilities like Brew if Brew is prevalent enough. This is also what Heroku suggests.

It looks like Heroku has a fallback if you're on a linux-like system that just downloads a binary and puts it in /usr/local/bin/heroku which is also an option.

My main concern will be for the non-JS developers who won't have node on their machines. It's why I like the heroku approach in that it downloads the node binary and uses it instead of what's on the path.

I have been the frustrated user of CLI tools that require a runtime to already be installed. It is too much to ask IMO, especially for the .NET developer community.

For MacOS/Linux we can probably get by with requiring something like curl https://cli.evently.cloud/install.sh | sh or similar. Also, I have a backblaze account set up to store things.

Based on our discussion, we're canning this for now and start with just running this with npx. In the future we'll figure out what a good next platform to support is, which may be brew, snap, flatpak or apt depending on what's deemed the highest priority.
